I still can't get past Lukan and his thugs. *sighs* I think I'm going to have to start over. If I make my next character with a high persuasion, perhaps I can talk my way past them and then come back to kick their collective asses after I've gotten a few more levels under my belt.

As it stands, I'm out of options in Shrouded Hills. I've done all the quests that I can (having locked myself out of a couple of quests by choosing to go the "good" route.) I can't talk my way past Lukan since I've already agreed to help the constable. And, I only have 57 gold on me, so there's no way I can pay the 1000 gold toll Lukan is asking.

The truly frustrating thing is that the enemy AI completely ignores Virgil, so I quickly end up with three enemies on me...and I just can't take that kind of a beating. Once I go down, Virgil is quick to follow. I've tried kiting and shooting them, which only results in me running out of bullets and then getting killed. I've tried putting the heaviest armor and best weapons on me, and that doesn't help. I only have three health potions and that keeps me up for all of one round.

Oh, well. Time to try again!

Yeah, I know this is a little old, but if you have 2 points of persuasion, and say the right things, you can get past them without a battle. If you still have trouble, just tell me and I'll try to help you out.
Yeah, I know that I just needed a different character build. I've played Arcanum many times before....it's just been years since I last played, so I've forgotten stuff until I get to it again. It's moments of "Oh, yeah! I remember this, now."

Heh! I've put Arcanum aside, for now, in favor of Dragon Age and Borderlands. And DDO. (I try and get through one dungeon a day in DDO. :D)
