Oh, the chess AI is eaaaaasy, I was told. It's so stupid, they said. Pshft! Yeah, maybe for someone who has actually played chess, it's an easy game. However, I was beat soundly three times in a row and still haven't won. Of course, my entire history with chess consists of one game about 15 years ago, back when I was in college. I haven't touched it since.

I need to win a game, though, to finish up the super-awesome "old-guy-in-checked-pants" quest. I may ask my husband if he can get me past this step.

Okay. It's been confirmed. I suck at chess. Like, Hoover-grade suckage. Of course, I've only played once before so it's not like I've had a ton of experience but....dang. Watching my husband beat the game in four moves was just sad. He confirmed that, yes indeed, the AI is about as stupid as a sack of bricks.

I'm going to have to have him teach me how to play.

I also totally suck at Chess. I tried it once, got spanked and decided to play the Tower Defence games instead :)

Yeah! I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one. I'm surrounded by people who play chess and know what they are doing, so I came out of this feeling just a teensy bit stupid.

The thing about chess is that you have to play it quite a bit to stay good at it. There was a time when I had this portable chess set I played on the train against the computer and I got to be pretty decent at it... if you learn a few opening sequences, you are good to go... but now I forget what all of them are.... so I too suck once again.
