arislyn played Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim

Last night, I downloaded the demo for Majesty 2. So, this morning I installed it, all a-twitter with glee and happiness. I LOVE the original Majesty and am so excited about this game. I started it up and was greeted by that wonderful, Sean Connery-esque voice, telling me about the missions I would have to face to run my kingdom. I smiled and settled in for what I knew was going to be the cracktastic hit that would have me charging out to buy the full game as soon as it hits the shelves.

Sadly, I'm not sure that is going to be the case. No, no! It has nothing to do with the gameplay. I was in love with it from the moment my tax collectors started demanding to know if the peasants had filled out their 46-3K forms. I'm just afraid that it's not going to run on my PC. I can play for about 15 minutes before the whole thing just freezes up on me and the only way to get back out is to completely reboot my PC.

I've been searching the web for other instances of the demo crashing, wondering if it's just something about the demo. However, I've found nothing. This leads me to believe that my PC may not be up to par. I'm going to head over to the Majesty 2 site and look at the system reqs. I know that I don't have much RAM and that may be the problem. If it is, then that's an easy and cheap fix.
