Gamers...: Hows your monday going?
I went ahead and downloaded it to give it a try. As a free player, you don't get to customize your character. So, I sat and hit "randomize" until I got a character that didn't look too much like a cheap hooker. (Mine looked like a moderately priced hooker. :P)
The very first thing they ask you to do after getting logged in is join a team in a battle instance. Granted, it's your team vs. computer AI but....I never like being forced into a team before I've even had a chance to try the controls and figure out what in the heck I'm doing.
To me, this was a clear indication of what the rest of the game is probably going to be like. (If it hadn't been the very first mission, I'd give it the benefit of the doubt.) I'm figuring that a lot of the gameplay will involve instances just like this where you team up to battle other players or AI and, well....I just don't like that. I don't want to be forced to group up every time I play.
So, I deleted it. Oh, well!
I like team activities. I love having the option to join up with friends and do cool stuff.
I hate being forced to do them, however.
I may have to look around and see if I can find out more about CrimeCraft. I made my judgment based solely on the first mission I was given and didn't look any further. I honestly don't know if there are open world areas where you can run around by yourself and have fun.
It just seemed to me that if that was the very first mission, it was a good representation of the rest of the game. There were no tutorial quests to get you started. No "go kill x of y" to get your bearings as far as controls, skills, etc. Well....the first mission is a "kill x or y" mission....it just happens to take place in an instance teamed with 16 other people.
