I still haven't been able to install Red Alert 3. However, this has not stopped my husband and me from listening to the music CD that came with the premiere edition. We popped that into the car's CD player, last night, and listened to it while driving to dinner. Two things:

1. The music for RA 3 is incredibly good.
2. My husband and I are giant nerds.

We were impressed with the quality of the soundtrack. Granted, there are fiddly-hojillion tracks and a lot of them sound suspiciously similar but there are some songs that will knock your socks off. The very first Russian track is this grand, expansive song with what sounds like a men's choir and a full orchestra. The Allies' track is this military pseudo-metal, pounding/marching song that has you rocking out. All the tracks are good.

We caught ourselves doing the Rocking Out Head Bob (TM) as we were sitting at a stoplight and realized that we are truly giant nerds. Other people are cranking up their dance music or heavy metal. Us? We're bustin' out to a game soundtrack.

I'm not quite sure how to reconcile that with the fact that we also listen to, and love, NPR.....
